Indycross- The final word in gravity sports
Indycross (indy-x) was coined by snowboard coach Jay Westerveld during the 2007-2008 Winter season.
He opined that, while alpine events such as Slalom, GS, etc., are satisfactory for ski competition, the events are stale for the laid-out, air-hungry snowboard competitor.
Boardercross, while a bit media-created, is seen as a successful event that draws from the multifaceted skillsets of the advanced snowboarder.
In such a mob event, however, pole position, more often than not, dictates the victor.
Indycross sought to combine the best of both worlds:
The widely varied feature-set of the Boardercross, and the definitive, ‘athlete against clock’  purity of one athlete, one course fostered the debut of Indycross

Mcmountain
Mcmountain describes any ski resort purchased and developed by any large international real estate development corporation. McMountains usually have base facilities converted into faux-European villages with restaurants and timeshares.
